Steve Beck, OD
Steve was born and raised near Seattle, Washington. He attended Western Washington University, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Sciences after transferring to Indiana University. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 1998. After graduation, Dr. Beck entered a residency through Northeastern State University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He received advanced training in the fields of ocular disease and refractive surgery. He was one of the few Optometrists in the nation to routinely use lasers to treat various medical conditions of the eye.
Dr. Beck is a contributing author of the third edition of Primary Care of the Posterior Segment, a clinical textbook on ocular disease for Optometrists. Dr. Beck is a member of the American Optometric Association, Indiana Optometric Association, and the local Tecumseh Optometric Association.
He and his wife, Stacey, moved to the area in 1999 and have two daughters. He has enjoyed coaching girls recreational and travel soccer since 2009. They currently live in West Lafayette.
